Robert L. (Bob) Tonsetic, PhD, was a distinguished author and military veteran hailing from Pennsylvania. After earning his degree from the University of Pittsburgh, he began his military career as an infantry lieutenant, ultimately serving as a light infantry company commander during the Vietnam War. His exceptional bravery earned him the Distinguished Service Cross and Silver Star for his heroic actions during the Tet and May offensives. Tonsetic retired from the Army with the rank of colonel and later completed his doctorate in 1996, going on to teach at the graduate level at the University of Central Florida. He passed away in April 2016 in Easton, Maryland.
