Author : Sven Lindqvist

Dr. Sven Lindqvist was a renowned Swedish author primarily focused on non-fiction. He earned a PhD in the History of Literature from Stockholm University, where his 1966 thesis examined the works of Vilhelm Ekelund. In addition to his academic achievements, he served as a cultural attaché at the Swedish embassy in Beijing from 1960 to 1961. Lindqvist received an honorary doctorate from Uppsala University in 1979. He was married to Cecilia Lindqvist from 1956 to 1986, with whom he had two children, and later to economist Agneta Stark. He resided in the Södermalm district of central Stockholm.
