Author : Saul David

Saul David, born in Monmouth in 1966, is a distinguished historian and author specializing in Victorian military history. Educated at Ampleforth College and the universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow, he earned both a Master's and a PhD in history. At just twenty-five, he embarked on his writing journey, culminating in nine significant books, including acclaimed works like *The Homicidal Earl*, *The Indian Mutiny: 1857*, and *Zulu: The Heroism and Tragedy of the Zulu War of 1879*. His bestselling *Victoria's Wars: The Rise of Empire* further solidified his reputation. In 2007, David transitioned to historical fiction with a three-book deal from Hodder & Stoughton.
