Dr. Allison is the author of multiple works on American history, such as *The Crescent Obscured: The United States and the Muslim World, 1776–1815*, *A Short History of Boston*, and *The Boston Massacre*. He has also edited numerous books covering American history from the colonial era to the 20th century. Beyond his publications, Dr. Allison is actively involved in historical organizations, serving on the board of overseers of the USS Constitution Museum and as vice president of the Colonial Society of Massachusetts.
