Henry Rollins, born Henry Lawrence Garfield, is a multifaceted American artist known for his contributions as a singer-songwriter, spoken word performer, author, actor, and publisher. He gained prominence in the early 1980s as the frontman of the influential hardcore punk band Black Flag, which he led until its dissolution in 1986. After Black Flag, Rollins founded the record label and publishing company 2.13.61 to produce his spoken word albums and established the Rollins Band, which toured extensively until 2003 and again in 2006. In addition to his music career, Rollins has hosted various radio and television programs and appeared in several films. He is also a dedicated advocate for human rights, particularly in support of LGBTQ+ issues, and regularly entertains U.S. troops overseas through the United Service Organizations.
